Citizenship Amendment bill 2019

The Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Biggest fuss right now in India. Whether we open television set or Internet there is the  discussion on CAB. CAB the  short name given to  Citizenship Amendment Bill. The Home minister Amit shah introduced the CAB in parliament. Lok shabha  passed the bill with 311  people voting in favor and 80 people voting against the bill. And  in rajya shabha bill passed with 125 votes in favor  and 105 against it. The bill seeks to amend the Citizenship Act 1955, in order to grant Indian citizenship to non-muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan escaping religion persecution there. When the bills will be enacted, immigrant belonging to Hindu,Sikh,christian, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi communities from the three countries mention above will not be treated as illegal. The will be eligible to get naturalized citizenship. The bill relaxes 11 year requirement of old bill to six year for the person to above six religion and 3 countries, The immigrant will also be not sent to the jail under Foreigners Act  and the Passport Act 1920.  31 December will be the cutoff date for the bill. The above mention Three countries are taken law because they are Islamic state which is mention in there constitution and all 6 religions are minority in that countries. The bill exempts certain areas of north-east from this provision. Till now i have talked about what is there in the bill. but now i will talk about the other hand of the bill. In the parliament when opposition party asked about the bill why we need to this bill . Our home minister Amit Shah said that we need this will because Congress had done the partition on basis of religion. But this statement is completely false. The Two nation theory is not given by congress. In 1938,Muslim league's session the partition of India resolution was adopted. The bill is facing a huge protest in north-east. In the bill on only  3 neighboring  countries are taken but its true that in other neighboring countries also religion persecution is done. For example in Sri-Lanka Tamilians and Moors are not treated equally. In constitution there are three element which are consensual part of citizenship.
1 Birth in the territory of India
2 Your parents or one most be born within the territory of India
3 You should ordinarily reside in India.
Religion can not be the factor in the acquisition of the citizenship, dejected by the constitution of India. But the the new bill is divided on basis of religion. Swami Vivekananda said in  Chicago 9-11-1893 " I am proud to belong to the nation which has sheltered the persecuted and the refugees of all religious and all nation of the earth. I am proud to tell you that we have gathered in our bosom the purest remnant of the Israelite, who came to southern India and took refuge with us in very year in which their holy temple was shattered to pieces by Roman tyranny". As quoted i am not writing full speech but in his full speech he have talked about the greatness of India, that they don't discriminate between any religion. But we are now giving citizenship on basis of religion. The bill is against the fundamentals of Constitution. The word like Secularism and Equality are not concerned while making the bill.
